Euro Gijbels is a specialist in purchasing, selling, storing, packing and distributing potatoes, vegetables, fruit and exotics. The goal of the company is to offer maximum quality and freshness of the products to offer the customers.
Challange
Because of (too) long handling times, Euro Gijbels wanted to improve the logistic purchase and selling process and make it more independent of people and manual handling so that there would also be less chances of errors. Moreover, the Belgium company wanted to realize this in an innovative way so the acceptance of the users would be increased.
Approach
Together with custwise, Euro Gijbels started the project iPurchase, where the purchase process on the auction is supported by the innovative app on the iPad. This project not only dealt with the technical
aspects of the implementation of this app, but also the implementation and the procedures which could be a result of this.
Solution
custwise teamed up a number of specialists in the areas of logistics, process and change management, IT architecture and application development and together with the team of Euro Gijbels, the iPurchase app was realized. With the commissioning of the iPurchase app, the time in which the purchases are available for sales is shortened to 4 hours per day the administration process is simplified and sped up and the data-integrity is improved.
